In order to better manage gas meters and realize more efficient gas metering, a gas company in Italy needed a new generation of gas meter in 2016. ZENNER was the right place to fulfill their needs. After receiving customer’s requirements, we engaged in the R&D of new gas meter in 2017. The gas meter developed by us functioned very well on their gas pipeline system. Till now, we have delivered more than 40000 smart gas meters in total to the gas company.

GPRS gas meter was developed to use in the gas supply system. Featuring an integrated communication module in the gas meter, data from the smart gas meter can be automatically transmitted to the cloud management platform. The data received are then transmitted to the smart payment management system, enabling easy and convenient meter data management of end users.

The smart metering solution not only realizes remote monitoring of the gas meters, but also minimizes the influence of the human factor by automating the data collection process. In addition, safety and overall efficiency are significantly enhanced due to gas pressure and gas leak detection.
